Carroll County Public Safety Training Center
MW Studios completed a master plan, feasibility study, and design for the redevelopment and expansion of the existing public safety training center in Westminster, Maryland. Phase I of the new facility included an 8,900 SF Apparatus Building and 25,000 SF classroom and administration building and various site improvements. The classroom building provides four classrooms, and auditorium for 120 people, conference rooms, offices and various simulation rooms.
Phase II will include new drafting pits, vehicle extrication pads, helicopter pads, smoke house, trench rescue simulator, hazmat tanker pad, recovery pavilion liquid fuel spill simulator, 2 1/2 story class “A” burn room, confined space trainer, roof ventilation prop and various LP gas burn pads. Future projects will include the replacement of the “barn” with a new 18,000 SF four-story indoor fire training grounds.
