This state-funded, progressive design-build project delivers a new regional training campus featuring a five-story, 10,720 GSF firefighter training tower and a two-story, 32,460 GSF academic building. Designed in collaboration with Miller Hull, the tower includes Class B burn props and configurable roof, stair, and interior elements to replicate real-life emergency scenarios. The academic building supports “clean” and “dirty” instruction spaces, student support areas, administrative offices, and three double-deep apparatus bays housing donated fire equipment. Modern gear storage and decontamination areas reinforce Healthy In, Healthy Out practices.

To address budget limitations, the design-build team worked closely with instructors and the college to modify the training tower design, removing one floor while preserving training functionality and including infrastructure to support phased prop installation as future funding allows.
