MW Studios served as the prime architect for the programming, master planning, design, and construction administration of previous and on-going work at the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters. The project, broken into several phases consisted of an 8,000 SF Criminal Investigations Unit Expansion, and separate modernization of the department’s Crime Laboratory Facility. Additional design tasks included designing a new sallyport, processing and holding area, and master planning for the inclusion of new training space to be executed in future budget years. The CID Expansion provided the department with hard and soft interview space, collaborative work areas, meeting rooms, records storage, and a dedicated sex-offender registry suite. The new sex-offender suite establishes a separated secure entry and waiting area that physically separates sex-offenders from law enforcement staff and the rest of the civilian population entering the building.
