This comprehensive design and renovation of the Sussex County Courthouse was executed through a meticulously planned, multi-phased approach to maintain uninterrupted daily operations during construction. Phase one included the development of a defined, secure main entrance, expanded holding cell capacity, the addition of a sallyport, secured attorney-client meeting rooms, and enhanced jury facilities. Phase two focuses on redesigning and utilizing previously unassigned second-floor space, ensuring the transformation meets the courthouse’s evolving functional and security needs.
