You could say Evan was born into the architecture field. Having worked in his family’s construction business since he could talk, seven years ago he decided to make the transition to architecture. This field allowed Evan to blend together his extensive knowledge in construction, with his love of design and problem-solving. After graduating from University, Evan capitalized on his knowledge by accepting an architectural teaching position in Scotland, followed by a period in Antwerp, Belgium where he helped develop drawings and renderings for a local architecture firm. Having been molded in different cultural philosophies and aesthetics, he’s able to approach each project from an outside perspective and use these skills to find the best solution for each building.
Evan enjoys working on public safety projects, as he enjoys working with the firefighters, police officers and the many staff that will utilize these buildings to make communities stronger. Specifically, he is most proud of his work associated with the building of the new fire station for Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Company. In his spare time, Evan can be found rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, or just about anything outdoorsy.
