Grand Opening October 27th, 2024
MW Studios joined the Ocean City Fire Department on October 27, 2024, to celebrate the grand opening of Station 3 in Midtown. The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together city officials, firefighters, community members, and MW Studios staff to recognize this exciting milestone.
The new station replaces the former facility on 74th Street, which has since closed. As a result, the Ocean City Fire Department now has an updated space to support emergency response and daily operations.
Designed for Firefighter Health and Safety
The new station features expanded apparatus bays, a large decontamination area, and a fitness center. Together, these spaces support the health, safety, and daily needs of firefighters and EMS personnel. Additionally, the facility provides an improved environment for crews as they serve the Ocean City community.
The design places firefighter wellness and operational efficiency at the forefront. For example, the expanded apparatus bays provide more space for emergency vehicles and equipment. Meanwhile, the decontamination area supports efforts to reduce firefighters’ exposure to harmful substances.
Furthermore, the fitness center offers a dedicated space for firefighters and EMS personnel to maintain their physical readiness. These features work together to create a facility that supports both emergency operations and the well-being of first responders.
From the early planning stages to the ribbon cutting, MW Studios is proud to have contributed to this important project. We look forward to seeing Ocean City Fire Department Station 3 serve and protect the community for years to come.
