Grand Opening September 21st, 2024
MW Studios was excited to attend the ribbon-cutting of the new 9th and Marion Fire Station in Reading on Saturday, September 21st, which was well attended by City officials, firefighters, local dignitaries, and community members in addition to MWS staff. The unveiling of this facility represents a significant step forward in strengthening and modernizing the city’s emergency services.
The newly opened fire station is equipped with features designed to enhance firefighter safety and operational efficiency. Highlights include heated floors to mitigate snow and ice hazards, specialized decontamination rooms for safety protocols, and spacious engine bays, solving the previous facility’s space limitations. These enhancements not only improve day-to-day operations but also allow the department to respond to emergencies more effectively and with greater ease. We are honored to be the architects behind this long-awaited project, and we’re happy to see their efforts and vision finally come to completion.
