Carroll Community College Athletic Fields Feasibility Study
This project involved performing a feasibility study and site analysis to provide multiple options for the College to support multiple athletic fields and associated buildings. The school is beginning to phase in various athletic programs including soccer, cross-country, and lacrosse. Currently, the college has one regulation grass field for soccer/lacrosse purposes, an electronic scoreboard, a baseball diamond, softball diamond, and one practice field. In addition there is a small exercise/fitness facility that does not meet standards for regulation play of any indoor sport. Manns Woodward Studios provided two final schemes to the college that achieve their goals to support athletic programs. Working with a limited site, MWS was able to lay out the schemes to ensure that in addition to the athletic fields, a classroom/gym building, track and field house and indoor track facility, a natatorium and parking garage could all be located on the site.
