Principals
Robert Manns, AIA, a founding principal of the firm, specializes in the design of public safety and community-oriented facilities. He has a proven track record for providing meaningful, budget-conscious, and quality-driven design solutions that meet the client’s specific needs. Rob is dedicated to creating, coordinating, and implementing design solutions that improve the quality of life amongst our communities. He has established the firm’s unique expertise in public safety architecture and has elevated the firm’s reputation for quality and functional design amongst the nation’s first responder community. Rob is an expert in the design of fire stations, public safety training centers, and firing ranges, and has spoken on issues such as first responder health and safety and station design at numerous local and national conferences.
He holds both undergraduate and Master of Architecture degrees from The Catholic University of America. A graduate of Anne Arundel Community College’s Architecture program, Rob also served as an adjunct professor teaching design and construction courses to aspiring architects. He has continued to serve on numerous design award juries and advisory panels at AACC and is on the board of directors for a local fire station. Rob is also considered one of the industry’s foremost leading experts on building information technology (BIM), providing cutting edge technological solutions that effectively communicate the design with owners and contractors.
As a founding principal of the firm, David Woodward, AIA, is a crucial member of the firm’s quality control and project management program. He has focused his career on working with project teams to ensure that design intent and quality is realized in each of the firm’s built projects. With a primary focus on community, education, and municipal facilities, Dave has successfully administered the construction of projects that range from small public-school renovations to new cutting-edge state-of-the-art libraries.
While maintaining leadership over the firm’s projects, Dave oversees and executes a majority of the team’s contract documentation and construction administration. From specifications to intricate detailing, Dave’s constant attentiveness and care to detail ensures contractors are provided a sound set of working drawings. He has proven to be essential to the firm’s success by executing projects that result in fewer change orders. David specializes in providing owners with invaluable insight about the construction of these highly specialized facilities. His expertise and skills in contract administration and negotiations have saved both owners and contractors from unnecessary and costly change orders.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Architecture professional degree from Drexel University and is a guest speaker / lecturer at fire conventions. He has also taugh a Revit course at Anne Arundel Community College.
After working in the construction industry for twelve years, Gary Campbell transitioned into the world of architecture. He has been able to combine his construction knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for building projects that positively affect the community and people who use them.
Gary has become an expert in public safety architecture, fueling his passion for designing buildings that create an opportunity for others to do their job better and more efficiently, especially when it could mean the difference between life or death. Gary has led the design of several award-winning projects, including the Chester County Tactical Village, which serves as the mid-Atlantic’s most comprehensive and advanced public safety training center.
Evan Gray serves as one of the lead designers and project architects for public safety facilities within the firm. Over the course of his career with the firm, he has been directly involved in the design of more than 30 fire stations, police stations, and emergency operations centers. His architectural experience is further complemented by his 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. As one of the firm’s leading technical experts, Evan is responsible for quality assurance and control, design production, construction document standards, and implementing innovative strategies in the design of public safety buildings.
He regularly engages in technically challenging and specialty projects such as firing ranges, communications centers, laboratories, and storm hardened structures. Evan also possesses direct FEMA experience where he worked to secure project funding to harden and replace public safety facilities compromised by Hurricane Sandy. He posses immense knowledge regarding the nuisances associated with the renovation and construction of public safety facilities and, specifically, challenging sites.
Josh Noppenberger’s background in the commercial construction industry and experience as a superintendent has yielded immense construction knowledge. His passion and drive to see projects through to the end led him to a position here at Manns Woodward Studios, where he leads the Construction Administration team in overseeing the construction of projects.
One of Josh’s biggest goals is to continue streamlining all aspects of physical construction to produce a better product, at a lower cost, for the greatest amount of owner satisfaction. His attention to detail and preciseness enables the success of MWS projects.
Design Team
John Bailey’s construction background and degree in Graphic Engineering from TESST College of Technology show in his high attention to detail. He enjoys figuring out how a building comes together through the construction details and is building his public safety resume.
Mike Gerding’s background and focus in education, specifically K-12, has helped progress the education sector here at MW Studios. He uses his own familial experiences to influence his thought process and designs. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland – College Park and is a LEED Green Associate.
Caroline joins MW Studios as an alumnus of Morgan State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Environmental Design, as well as a Master of Architecture. After spending time as a LEED consultant with another firm, Caroline joined MW Studios to pursue architectural projects. She has a passion for historic preservation and enjoys overcoming project challenges.
Having graduated with her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Tulane University, Lindsey Kiefer, AIA returned to her hometown of Baltimore to work in the architecture field. She has worked on many commercial projects and public safety projects in the area, including Foundry Row and Merriweather Post Pavilion. In addition to becoming licensed, Lindsey has taken an active role in CREWBaltimore, chairing the PR Committee and serving on the Board of Directors.
Ashley Laughter, CID serves as the Lead Interior Designer at MW Studios. She assists in the development of space plans, floor plans, construction documents for permit, presentation boards, selection and documentation of finishes and generation of specifications for bid. Ashley has an adept understanding of the impacts of interior environment and how it affects the mental health and wellness of public safety staff. On each project Ashley strives to integrate natural light and inviting materials that support the morale and mental health of the people that occupy mission critical facilities.
Matthew Loudenslager joins MW Studios with experience in retail, hospitality, and medical office facilities. He studied architecture and sustainable design at Anne Arundel Community College and later at Savannah College of Art and Design. Early in his career, Matthew worked as an engineer intern with a contractor and has been able to apply that knowledge to his design tasks.
Nate McNeill’s ambition to enter the architecture field was fueled by his desire to create and build backed by visions of greater integration between society and the built environment. Since receiving his bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Morgan State University, he has earned his LEED Green Associate Certification and strives to implement sustainable practices in his work. Nate’s reliability and organization has been an immense strength on every project he works on.
Danielle Olander joins Manns Woodward Studios with a background in worship, education, and historic preservation sectors after receiving her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from University of Maryland – College Park. In addition to working on a variety of project types, Danielle has also been a juror for University of Maryland’s and Anne Arundel Community College’s architecture studios.
Vincent J. Serritella, AIA joins MW Studios with a wide breadth of project type experience, from residential and historic preservation to commercial and healthcare. His knowledge of a varied list of project types has enabled him to be successful with MWS’ portfolio. Vince has his Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America.
Growing up, Jessica Spencer enjoyed both math and art and sought a career that allowed her to use both in her everyday life. Jes has been working in the architecture industry even before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Drexel University. She is currently working towards licensure and works with the Construction Administration team to bring projects to completion.
Jessica Sweigart brings her experience in various project types to MW Studios, from residential to commercial and public safety architecture. Combining her creativity and technical expertise, architecture has been the perfect industry for Jessica to thrive and show her problem-solving capabilities in the form of art. She enjoys any project that proves challenging.
Marketing & Operations
Ashlee Manns was able to combine her fascination with architecture and her degree from Towson University in Mass Communications in a perfect position here at MW Studios. After working for a newspaper located in Baltimore, MD as well as an advertising agency, she completed her master’s degree in International Marketing & Brand Management from Lund University in Sweden. She takes on day-to-day business operations tasks, as well as heading up marketing on new and existing projects, among many other duties including client relations.
Upon graduating from Towson University with a degree in Communication Studies, Chris Peacher began working for a publishing company where his desire to work creatively was cultivated and refined. At MW Studios, Chris handles proposals while assisting with marketing efforts, community outreach, and business development.

Tim Letavish comes to MW Studios bringing his expertise in marketing and brand management along with an associate’s degree in architecture from Anne Arundel Community College. As Marketing Coordinator, he helps with handling proposals, community outreach and other business development.
