The feature building of the Howard County Public Safety Training Campus is the Administration Building which houses the center's classroom, office and fitness space.
The building was designed to provide dedicated space to both Fire-Rescue and Police. In order to create a more functional facility and encourage inter-department coopearation various common shared spaces were designed throughout the building.
Both police and fire administration staff share space throughout the second floor which provides approximately 10,500 SF of office space. On the lower floor cadets and department personnel jointly utilize roughly 35,000 SF of space such as classrooms, special education rooms, conference rooms, driver simulation rooms, and gymnasiums. Additional fitness areas provide students with the ability to learn and hone skills in defensive/grappling tactics.
