The Harford County Emergency Operation Center is a new, 114,794 SF facility which will replace the current Operation Center, housed on the same site. The facility will be built in two phases so the current emergency center can remain operational thru-out construction.
Phase I consists of a two story high tech emergency operation building including training rooms, media management areas, employee facilities, and the 911 center for Harford County.
Phase II will be a merger of multiple departments into one building. The departments include Hazmat, Radio Repair, TRT, and EMS. There will be an emergency responding apparatus bay for Hazmat, EMS, and TRT and their associated gear storage, bunk rooms, and personnel living areas. The facility will house the Radio Repair Bays as well and the associated offices and monitoring stations. A large training room will also be provided for the multiple uses of the Harford County Emergency Operation Center.
