This new Emergency Operations Center will be constructed in two separate phases. Phase I will include the construction of the entire building envelope (approximately 14,500 SF) and a partial fit-out of the interior. This initial build out will constitute the Emergency Operations Center and Public Safety Administration Offices and will occupy approximately 50% of the facility.
Phase II will consist of the backup 911 call enter and additional administrative offices.
This facility will be tailored to meet both the national, regional, and local standards governing public safety facilities and the specific needs and procedures of the community and staff of Garrett County. Key spaces include the Emergency Operations Center with consoles for 40 personnel, training room, drug task force offices and secure entry, administrative offices and 24-hour dispatch center.
